The Origin of AMEN Academy: In January 1983, Rev. Hennie Brits gave his life to Christ and committed his life to serving the Lord. In April 1984, The Lord, called Rev. Brits to serve Him as directed in the bible, 2 Timothy 4:1-5: "I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; re- prove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry" On the 24th of September, 1984, God confirmed to Rev. Brits that AMEN Academy should be opened, and the time for new beginnings had started, "Praise the Lord!!" Amen Academy grew rapidly over the years, and has established a well known name, a name that many have great things to say about. AMEN Academy specializes in counseling (all types and aspects of counseling, assistance on suicide) and training (see Services & Training for more details). We commit ourselves to different projects such as "Old people" - we provide this pensioner, which has no money, with food, blankets and daily essential products. We commit ourselves to be involved in schools, assisting them with the handeling and counseling of substance abusers (drugs, alcohol etc.) and provide excellent counseling services to help these victims rehabilitate from their addiction. We also have the passion to assist the youth through youth camps, informing, learning and educating them about life, and giving them the answer to a success- ful and joyful life. Our Vision: • To spread the big commission, as ordered in Matthew 28:19-20: "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world." • To provide and assist in the training of people to become counselors. • Equip the reborn to be fishers of men. • To bring freedom to those in captivity of drugs, alcohol, Satanism, New Age and the occult, as said in the scriptures "The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound" -Isaiah 61:1. • After-care for young Christians through bible study groups and services. |
