How do I get born again?

2 Peter 3:9
"The Lord is not slack, concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is
longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."

Answer the following two questions regarding yourself
:
1.If you should die today, would you go to heaven?
2.Suppose you die today and you had to stand in front of God and He should ask you: "On which
grounds should I let you into heaven?"

What would you answer?

Maybe...

"I don't care. I don't believe in God, the Bible or heaven anyway. "

Maybe...

Yes, I will go to heaven and God will accept me into heaven for the following reasons:
•  I believe I am a Christian
•  I belong to a Christian church
•  I go to church regularly
•  I have been accepted and introduced into the church
•  I serve/have served on the church committee
•  I have been baptized and hold communion
•  I am actively involved at church
•  I believe in God and believe that Jesus died for my sins
•  I give my tithes and love my neighbors
•  I try my best and ask for forgiveness of my sins on a regular basis
•  I read my bible and pray everyday
•  I have cast out demons and healed people thought prayer
•  I am a deeply religious person"

If any of the above mentioned is your answers, there is upsetting news for you!
1.No person can through his own doing be saved or receive passage to heaven!
   Ephesians 2:8:
" For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift
                           of God"

2.All are sinners and are separated from God.
   Romans 3:9:
"What then? Are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both
Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin"

As it is written, "There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is
none that seeketh after God.  They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofit-
able; there is none that doeth good, no, not one."

How do I get to heaven?

1.The only way to heaven is through the Blood of Jesus Christ!
   John 14:6:
"Jesus said unto him, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no man cometh unto the
                    Father, but by Me."

2.Only the ones that have been set free on the grounds of the Blood of Jesus Christ can be saved.
Jesus died on Golgotha and shed Hid Blood in order for you to live!
   John 3:16:
" For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever
believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life"

3.All people, even you and I, are conceived and born in sin; this is a lost condition, which is why
everyone that wants to enter heaven has to be born again.
   John 3:7:
"Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again".
4.To be born again and receive a new nature, one must be born from God. This is a second birth,
not through flesh but through the spirit.
   John 3:5:
"Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of
the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God."
What must I do to be born again?

1.You must realize that you were born in a lost state and that you are sinful and good works can't
   save you.
   Romans 3:23:
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God"
2.Flee to Jesus for freedom and forgiveness.
   Ephesians 1:7:
"In whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according
to the riches of His grace"

3.Confess and stop with your sins.
   1 John 1:9:
"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us
                     from all unrighteousness"

4.Place your full trust in Jesus Christ as your savior and accept Him as your Redeemer.
   John 1:12:
"But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God,
even to them that believe on His name"

5.Pray the following prayer: "I realize that I am lost and I seriously regret my sins. I turn from all
things that are wrong and I accept You, Jesus Christ, as my personal Savior and Redeemer. Please
forgive all my sins and take me to be your child. Thank You for coming into my life and please help
me to live a life that will be pleasing to You. I accept the promises in Your Word for myself..
   Amen"

Surety for redemption

John 6:47:

Now you need to grow in your relationship with Jesus!
Growing in the spirit by prying and studying the bible daily
Philippians 4:4-6:
"Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice. Let your modera-
tion be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.  Be careful for
nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanks-
giving let your requests be made known unto God."
Reach out to others and tell them about Jesus.
1 Peter 3:15-16: "But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give
an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is
in you with meekness and fear:  Having a good conscience; that, where-
as they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that
falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ."
Obedience to submission for the tasks God has set for you
Luke 6:46-48: "And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? Whoso-
ever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will show
you to whom he is like: He is like a man which built a house, and digged
deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the
stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it
                      was founded upon a rock."
Willing to admit the guidance of the Holy Spirit in your life and starting to join other

John 14:27: "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth,

Hebrews 10:24-25:
"And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good
works:  Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the
manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the
more, as ye see the day approaching."
